Mr. Ignacio Barrenechea
I was born in Madrid, Spain. I studied in Goethe Institut Berlin in Germany, Dublin City University in Ireland and finished my Masters Degree in Translation and Interpreting in the prestigious University of Salamanca in Spain (the third oldest University in Europe!)
After many years working as a professional translator and teaching Spanish as a Second language in private Academies, I begann to work for the Spanish Government as a teacher and a coordinator of cultural activities for international exchange programs five years ago. Three years ago, I crossed the ocean and joined the US Public System. I spent my first year here in Charlotte, North Carolina, teaching German for grades 9th to 12th. Two years ago I moved to California and started teaching Spanish for non Spanish speakers grades 9th to 12th at VNHS.
